I have a blu-ray rip here and if I use VDPAU acceleration I have audio/video sync issues. My hardware: Athlon X2 5600+ (2,8GHz) 2GB DDR2 800MHz Geforce 9600GT Linux 2.6.31 Latest nvidia driver: 190.42 Latest SVN MPlayer: r29832 ~/.mplayer/config: [default] stop-xscreensaver=1 ao=alsa:device=default vo=vdpau mouse-movements=yes fstype=layer,stays_on_top,fullscreen,above *** So, if I use: mplayer -vc ffh264vdpau -aid 4352 -fs -af pan=2:1:0:0:1:1:0:0:1:1:1:1:1 -channels 6 -lavdopts threads=2:skiploopfilter=all -subdelay -12 -sub legenda.srt 00001.m2ts I have audio/video sync issues (video delayed for instance) If I don't use the VDPAU acceleration (removing the -vc option), I don't have audio/video sync issues (although the CPU will be used a lot). The -lavdopts are absolutely necessary, otherwise I cannot play this m2ts file in my machine. So, do you have some suggestions, so I can use the 9600GT acceleration (and give the CPU some rest) without having the sync problem? Thanks. PS: after some testing, I discovered that removing the subtitle options (-subdelay -12 -sub legenda.srt) helps (no video delay), so probably adding a subtitle will add a lot of overhead on video processing, right? But I absolutely need the subtitle, so is there a option to improve the performance when using the subtitle without having to give up on the VDPAU acceleration? PS2: here is the mplayer output, if for some reason it's important: MPlayer SVN-r29832-4.4.2 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team 141 audio & 307 video codecs Playing 00001.m2ts. TS file format detected.
