audio out of sync when playing mkv

Sorry for the lack of information.  I ask question because I can play
the mkv file in windows without problem.  The audio is out of sync
when I play it in linux (fedora) mplayer, i.e. mplayer file.mkv.  As I
am a newbie of the mplayer, I donno whether there is something to tune
for the synchronization or hardware problem.
