I use CentOS 5.3 on my desktop (among other places), and I recently noticed a rather strange occurrence. I created an AVI with MEncoder out of a collection of photos that are all 1024x768. However, when I play it back, I get the playback in a window that is clearly wider than 1024 pixels. I took a window snapshot of the playback, and it is 1230x768, even though MPlayer reports that it is 1024x768 and is prescaling it to the correct movie aspect: [mhr@mhrichter show]$ mp show.avi MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 7750 Dual-Core Processor (Family: 16, Model: 2, Stepping: 3) CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1 Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE SSE2 Playing show.avi. My question is: Yes, I know this is not the most current revision of MPlayer - it is, last I checked, the most recent revision available from rpmforge, which is my #1 resource for non-distro apps. Is this something that has been fixed in a more recent revision? (No, I have not tried pulling down the most recent source and building it myself. If needed, I can, but I was hoping to find out if it's worth it first....) Thanks! mhr _______________________________________________ MPlayer-users mailing list MPlayer-users@xxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.mplayerhq.hu/mailman/listinfo/mplayer-users
