I don't have a graphic card supported by vdpau, so I can't test this myself, but many people has reported problems in the smplayer forum when using vdpau and the screenshot filter. Here there's a bug report: http://bugzilla.mplayerhq.hu/show_bug.cgi?id=1501 Other people also report similar problems with other video filters, like pp or kerndeint.
