Would you expect that this is a regression of some sort and that an earlier version may work ( this is r28311 )? or is it likely a bug in that particular driver?

Well, I'd say you never tried -xineramascreen (I think I suggested
this)...

Since xineramascreen was originally a linux thing, I had never tried it under windows. However, my full screen needs have been met using, as you'd mentioned, noborders and geometry with gl2 driver, except as I had noted earlier. I'm assuming that I don't need xineramascreen unless I want to do a fullscreen display without using noborders & geometry.

On the geometry front, are you saying you've just now changed the limits check so I can just get an updated svn, or had that been changed a while ago and it should have been working in r28311 ?
