The patch titled
Subject: mm: page_alloc: reduce unnecessary binary search in memblock_next_valid_pfn()
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
     mm-page_alloc-reduce-unnecessary-binary-search-in-memblock_next_valid_pfn.patch

This patch should soon appear at
    http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-page_alloc-reduce-unnecessary-binary-search-in-memblock_next_valid_pfn.patch
and later at
    http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-page_alloc-reduce-unnecessary-binary-search-in-memblock_next_valid_pfn.patch

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
   a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
   b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
   c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

*** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code ***

The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated
there every 3-4 working days

Subject: mm: page_alloc: reduce unnecessary binary search in memblock_next_valid_pfn()

b92df1de5d28 ("mm: page_alloc: skip over regions of invalid pfns where
possible") optimized the loop in memmap_init_zone(). But there is still
some room for improvement.

E.g. if pfn and pfn+1 are in the same memblock region, we can simply
pfn++ instead of doing the binary search in memblock_next_valid_pfn.

Furthermore, if the pfn is in a gap of two memory region, skip to next
region directly if possible.

Attached the memblock region information in my server.
