Mac Group Messages not Readable.
I subscribed to a mailing list dealing with the
Macintosh platform and have discovered that a percentage of the
messages are in some sort of mime format that confuses nmh to no
end. Trying to read one goes as follows:
$ show
(Message mac:62)
From: name@address>
Subject: Re: Network issues between mac and PC
mhshow: invalid QUOTED-PRINTABLE encoding -- expecting hexidecimal-digit,
but got char 0x3d
(content text/html in message 62, part 1)
mhshow: invalid QUOTED-PRINTABLE encoding -- expecting hexidecimal-digit,
but got char 0x3d
(content text/plain in message 62, part 2)
mhshow: don't know how to display any of the contents
(content multipart/alternative in message 62)
Thanks for any ideas. I can usually read HTML-encoded
messages via lynx with no trouble at all.
The reference to no8 is a filter I wrote that masks off the 8TH
bit which really messes up some messages but isn't even called
in this case.
The present .mh_profile is as follows:
Path: Mail
repl: -editor vi
dist: -editor vi
comp: -editor vi
showproc: mhl
mhshow: -nopause
mhshow-show-text/plain: %p/usr/local/bin/no8 |/usr/bin/more
mhshow-show-text/html: %p/usr/local/bin/lynx -force_html -child -dump '%F' | /usr/bin/less
/home/martin/bin/showwithlinks-show-text/html: %p/usr/local/bin/lynx '%F'
