You can use the -quiet option to suppress progress output.  Only
warnings and errors will be printed.  For Win32 systems, you can use
the -stdout and -stderr options to have output go to files if using
a shell that does not support I/O redirection (which is generally
the case under Win32).

Desktop interaction is not required.  Many run mhonarc via automated
processes like cron, and I believe some users automatically invoke
it under win32.

Mhonarc should not be executed under root, or other admin, account,
if possible.  It opens you up to local security attacks (at least
under Unix-type systems).  Use a regular user account to run mhonarc,
if possible.

BTW, Win32 users may want to look into Cygwin, <http://www.cygwin.com/>.
It provides a Unix-type environment with many of the standard Unix
like tools.
