You defined an empty value for <SSMarkup>, so nothing will
be printed at the beginning of the pages.

SSMarkup is to add text to the beginning of every page generated
by MHonArc.  It does not suppress the output of anything.

Did you look at the PHP stuff done by JC Lawrence?
