Thnx,
I used apt-cache search, found wget and installed it...and found libcurl3, which is already installed but I do not have curl? Shall I download the source and compile it?
Shall I include fremantle 1.2 and 1.3?
Is there something wrong with my repos?

first: I like better to write to a real name....
The command
dpkg -l
lists the packages that are installed on your debian box (or N900).
After you edit your sources.list and ran apt-get update, your program
manager (GUI) should show the additional available packages.
