FM Transmitter/Receiver as Walkie-Talkie

Do we have an application where we can use nokia n900 FM transmitter/receiver
as Walkie-Talkie(Short range communication 10-20m).  If not, what is the feasibility
of making such an application ? What are the require skill sets ? I am interested in 
making such application if feasible.
