Re: how to free up space in rootfs

ok so now im trying to update to Maemo 3.2010.02-8.002 which is a total size of 16.2 Mib.  I have 40 Mib of free space in my rootfs but it still says i dont have enough free space.  any ideas

There's no way to do that automatically that I know of - you basically have to rely on most packagers putting things in the /opt partition as opposed to the root file system.
