Tbh, I found initial firmware release a bit worse when it comes to performance than 1.1, my impression was that device got a bit snappier with 1.1. I'd love to upgrade to 1.1.1, but for some reason Nokia haven't released it as OTA upgrade for my device yet, and I don't really like idea of flashing device.

Generally I reckon upgrading firmware is good thing to do. Upgrades usually tend to fix more issues than introducing new ones. ;)
