Do I want OS2008HE though? I don't want the most recent software a 770 can possibly run if that software is going to be slow or buggy. I'd rather go for the most recent software that will run well on a 770, and then I'd like to get email working well and get a shell (hopefully with access to the debian repos via apt). >From what I've been reading OS2008HE is quite slow and buggy on the 770, or at least the first version of it was, whereas I've read that OS2007HE runs quite well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maemo#Hacker_Editions http://maemo.org/news/announcements/internet_tablet_hacker_edition_pushed_at_chinook_level/ By the way, are "the firmware" and the OS (2006, 2007, 2008..) the same thing, so that if I update one I've done the other too? _______________________________________________ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@xxxxxxxxx https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
