Someone was kind enough to point me toward a web site showing how to get the statistics language R running on maemo. The web site starts with using "sandbox" but I'm not sure if I really need to use it. I have an N810 running maemo. Do I need this "sandbox" to compile and install the software on the N810? Or is the sandbox only needed if you are compiling on a different non-maemo system?
