A word of warning.

Not all apps have got Diablo repositories set up. I realised this when I
spotted that I couldn't install my own httpd and MySQL apps. I've sorted mine
out but several other apps wouldn't re-install either.

To fix this if you have a similar problem ***
1. Edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list (make a backup
first!!!)
2. Save the application's install file to disc.
3. In the install file, find the repo URL then find a matching line in the
hildon-application-manager.list file. The difference will be that in
hildon-application-manager.list the line includes "diablo" but in the install
file it will have something different. Change diablo in
hildon-application-manager.list to what's in the install file (usually
mistral)
4. Save hildon-application-manager.list
5. Refresh sources
6. Install the application.
7. Edit the line in hildon-application-manager.list back to what it was for
when the maintainer sets up a diablo repo.

*** Three caveats:
1 Binary-compatibility's been OK for what I'm using, it may not be
guaranteed.
2. There may be an easier way, but this worked for me.
3. You need to do the edit as root
