Sounds a lot like the memory filesystem corruption that has hit many people. If you have trouble redownloading the maps from within the app, you can try the instructions here: http://maemogeek.blogspot.com/2008/03/maps-for-nokia-os2008.html I went through the same thing and reformatting the FAT32 internal card from my computer while I had the tablet plugged into the USB port worked like a charm. Update your OS2008 to the latest version too as there were some fixes related to this problem relative to the version that ships with the tablet. /Mike
