8G SDHC - any success?

It may not be about SDHC itself. In this case I'd guess the problem is 
not the kernel but the userspace stuff - i.e. tools to correctly format 
bigger cards, stuff reporting size that doesn't fit signed long (>2GB) 
etc. Can be a lot of code to check before you can say you support >=4GB 
cards.
