[maemo-users] Problems accessing the rs-mmc card :-/

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi there,

I recently bought a 1GB Kingston MMCmobile card which seems to work
great except for data-transfer between my n770 and my linux-pc. (I run
2.6.19-rc4-mm1, so very experimental stuff). I can't change my kernel
since I use a special variant of reiser4 which only works on this
kernel for /.

Badblocks doesn't report any bad blocks on the device even if I use it
with the write-option, however when copying files or stuff like that I
get the log attached at the end. I also inserted it into my
card-reader and there haven't been problems with this card so far.

It seems some apps trigger this failure more easily (e.g. copying many
mp3 files with kde) and others not (copying a 230mb video via cmd-line
cp)
Any ideas what could be wrong? Could this be caused by a weak cable?

Thank you in advance, lg Clemens
