Hi there, I recently bought a 1GB Kingston MMCmobile card which seems to work great except for data-transfer between my n770 and my linux-pc. (I run 2.6.19-rc4-mm1, so very experimental stuff). I can't change my kernel since I use a special variant of reiser4 which only works on this kernel for /. Badblocks doesn't report any bad blocks on the device even if I use it with the write-option, however when copying files or stuff like that I get the log attached at the end. I also inserted it into my card-reader and there haven't been problems with this card so far. It seems some apps trigger this failure more easily (e.g. copying many mp3 files with kde) and others not (copying a 230mb video via cmd-line cp) Any ideas what could be wrong? Could this be caused by a weak cable? Thank you in advance, lg Clemens ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.0: wakeup usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 7 usb 2-1: new device found, idVendor=0421, idProduct=0431 usb 2-1: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 usb 2-1: Product: Nokia 770 usb 2-1: Manufacturer: Nokia usb 2-1: SerialNumber: 3230204F6374 usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice scsi11 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices usb-storage: device found at 7 usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning scsi 11:0:0:0: Direct-Access Nokia 770 0308 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 SCSI device sda: 2038784 512-byte hdwr sectors (1044 MB) sda: Write Protect is off sda: Mode Sense: 0f 00 00 00 sda: assuming drive cache: write through SCSI device sda: 2038784 512-byte hdwr sectors (1044 MB) sda: Write Protect is off sda: Mode Sense: 0f 00 00 00 sda: assuming drive cache: write through sda: sda1 sd 11:0:0:0: Attached scsi disk sda sd 11:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0 usb-storage: device scan complete sd 11:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002 sda: Current: sense key=0x3 ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0 Info fld=0x1f1b80 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 2038656 Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 254832 sd 11:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002 sda: Current: sense key=0x3 ASC=0x11 ASCQ=0x0 Info fld=0x1f1b80 end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 2038656 Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 254832 Reducing readahead size to 32K
