On a Mac, turn on wireless, click on the icon in the status bar and create a connection. Remember to specify a password by clicking on "Show Options" - even though it's just WEP, that's still better than nothing. To route connections from that network, go to the System Preferences, Sharing, Internet and turn on Internet Sharing on the built in Ethernet connections. I am not sure you can use bluetooth as you described - bluetooth devices advertise their category. I would expect that unless you laptops advertise themselves as modems, the 770 would not be able to use them. Also, obviously the range for bluetooth would be much smaller and you'd have to be near the laptop and at that point might as well use the laptop for your browsing.
