lvm1/lvm2 and vgchange -a n

Hello

After migrating from lvm1 to lvm2 i've problems when shutting down
the system (gentoo) when closing/shutting down lvm2. There is always a
volume group active, but i don't know which process is still using a
volume group. I think it's the /var volume (when starting the system
the /var volume wasn't umounted cleanly)

Is there any hint to check which process is still using a volume
group / logical volume?

Thanx
Thomas
