Oh yes: I'm using Debian GNU/Linux, LVM 1.0.4, Kernel 2.4.18 and 2.4.19
(tried both).

Before this machine was running 2.4.18 with LVM 1.0.1rc4, which I
updated as soon as I realized it (ie. after creating the volumes and
copying the data...unfortunately). I noticed 'vgchange -a n' caused a
message 'poisoned pointer' and a kernel oops with the old version. Then
I rebooted, and then the problems began.

Thank you for any help!
