You could try the VFS lock patch for 2.4.11 on 2.4.17. If you upgrade to 2.4.18 then get the VFS lock patch from http://tech.sistina.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/LVM/PATCHES/linux-2.4.18-VFS-lock.patch?rev=1.1 rather than the 1.0.4 release. However, I think 2.4.19rc1 might be a better kernel (it's what I'm running - I went from 2.4.17), the VFS lock patch for that kernel is at http://tech.sistina.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/LVM/PATCHES/Attic/linux-2.4.19-VFS-lock.patch?rev=1.1.2.1 patrick _______________________________________________ linux-lvm mailing list linux-lvm@sistina.com http://lists.sistina.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-lvm read the LVM HOW-TO at http://www.sistina.com/lvm/Pages/howto.html
