Christoph, I assume that you are suffering from a PE missalignent flaw which was in 0.9 Beta 7. Please update to the recent LVM version available at www.sistina.com. Follow the information in INSTALL and PATCHES/README to get your SuSE system updated. You need to have the kernel source package and the gcc packages installed in order to be able to do this.
