Yes, fancontrol-3.12.x was created under 3.12 (actually a while before it) and fancontrol-new was created under 3.13. >> Is this a known bug or user error on my part? >> > Difference in 3.13 is in the file path. Yes, this is running fancontrol under 3.13 using /etc/fancontrol-new which again was generated under 3.13. >> Settings for hwmon1/pwm4: >> Depends on hwmon0/device/temp4_input >> Controls hwmon1/fan4_input >> MINTEMP=20 >> MAXTEMP=60 >> MINSTART=150 >> MINSTOP=0 >> MINPWM=0 >> MAXPWM=255 >> >> Settings for hwmon1/pwm3: >> Depends on hwmon0/device/temp4_input >> Controls hwmon1/fan3_input >> MINTEMP=20 >> MAXTEMP=60 >> MINSTART=150 >> MINSTOP=100 >> MINPWM=0 >> MAXPWM=255 >> >> Settings for hwmon1/pwm1: >> Depends on hwmon0/device/temp4_input >> Controls hwmon1/fan1_input >> MINTEMP=20 >> MAXTEMP=60 >> MINSTART=150 >> MINSTOP=100 >> MINPWM=0 >> MAXPWM=255 >> >> Settings for hwmon1/pwm5: >> Depends on hwmon0/device/temp4_input >> Controls hwmon1/fan5_input >> MINTEMP=20 >> MAXTEMP=60 >> MINSTART=150 >> MINSTOP=100 >> MINPWM=75 >> MAXPWM=255 >> >> Error: file hwmon1/device/pwm5 doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/pwm4 doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/pwm3 doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/pwm1 doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/fan5_input doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/fan4_input doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/fan3_input doesn't exist >> Error: file hwmon1/device/fan1_input doesn't exist >> > > The above log refers to hwmon1/pwmX and hwmon1/fanX_input, > yet the errors refer to hwmon1/device/pwmX and > hwmon1/device/fanX_input. So there is an obvious mismatch. > How does the actual configuration file look like ? I deleted /etc/fancontrol* and rebuilt again under 3.13 (it is attached after I edited it). It now works. I am not sure what I did the first time through. Sorry for the noise to the list.
