I have contacted ITE for a datasheet, and they have responded "we will reply you soon!" will forward if received.

I have had success using 2.6.29.6 kernel, via "modprobe it87 force_id=0x8726"
[ 1611.827184] it87: Found IT8726F chip at 0xa30, revision 0
[ 1611.827196] it87: in3 is VCC (+5V)
[ 1611.827197] it87: in7 is VCCH (+5V Stand-By)

the temp/fan/voltage values look appropriate for my system.

Thanks for the suggestion of "force-id" module parameter, I picked 8726 as it’s the highest model number reported by "modinfo it87" on my kernel.

You can try to force-load the it87 driver. ITE datasheets are difficult
if not impossible to get, so it is unlikely that we will be able to add
support for the chip.

I added your request to the "supported devices" list on lm-sensors.org.
