Hi LM sensors group

Did you receive the following mail? which was sent on Oct.29, 2004,

I have not received any response from you, and wonder whether you get it.

I??m developing the Linux driver of Winbond W83792D/AD Hardware Monitor chip now,

using lm_sensors-2.8.8 and i2c-2.8.8. You may put my name on the ??New Drivers??

page on the website.

And please send me an ID reserved in i2c-id.h in the i2c-package. You may also

put my mail account into the mailing list so that I can get project updates.

Btw, if you get this mail, would you please send me response to me? So that I can

know you have read this mail.

Thanks

Best Regards

Subject: New chip driver development plan to Lm_sensors

Hello Lm-sensors Group, Looijaard, Edelbrock, and Studebaker:

This is Chunhao, software Engineer of Winbond Electronics.

glad to write to you.

We are going to write the Linux driver to Winbond??s new Hardware

Monitor chip: W83792AD/D. I have checked the "New Drivers" page

on the lm_sensors website, find that there is nobody developing this driver.

So we will use lm_sensors as the basis of this driver, especially use

lm_sensors/kernel/chips/w83781d.c as template.

Since this is the first time for me to write Linux Driver, so I think I will meet

many problems, I think I will ask your help later. And you may also contact us

if you need our help on this Winbond Chip. If I can not answer your questions

I will ask the help of my colleagues, who have much experience on Hardware

Monitor Chip??s Windows Driver.

Thanks

Best Regards

Chunhao
