If you load appropriate modules that suggest sensors-detect at the end.
It works "for reading" for normal users.

I have for you better solution. I found for you original MDK package no
need to be in club.

1. delete what you have installed using this command in one line:

rm /usr/local/lib/libsensors* /usr/local/bin/sensors /usr/local/sbin/isadump /usr/local/sbin/i2c* /usr/local/sbin/sensors-detect

2. download
ftp://mandrake.redbox.cz/Mandrake/10.0/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/lm_sensors-2.8.4-2mdk.i586.rpm
from here or try to search you install CD it should be there!

3. install this package.

4. run as root sensors-detect again. It should setup the stuff to work
after reboot too. Use

sensors

To see the output.

5. Get the package with GUI client for KDE which is called like ksensors
6. you are done!

Regards

Rudolf
