Okay. As it turns out, the problem was distribution related (combined with a few config changes I made when I was in China) and NOT hardware. I'd rather not go into it, because it's almost too embarrassing to admit. Either way, I would like to thank everyone of you for the time and effort and apologize for the trouble. For me, it is quite a relief, but I can understand if it pisses you off (wasted time, etc.). Sorry guys!
