I just tried joining an adhoc network here, and it will not let me join at all Giuseppe. wpa_supplicant just tells me "failed to set operating mode".. I'm running wireless-compat though, so my ubuntu that is not completely using iw yet may just not work in this case.. Like I said, it is no big deal to me though.
