What these patches fix is the power consumption when the interface is brought down. Before this work, if the interface was already up and then brought down then the power used the device is only reset, not stopped. We are still investigating an issue of power consumption before the interface is brought up in the first place. We are not comparing to other OS, just looking at power consumption.
