Sure. the kernel has to keep track of the grant mappings somewhere, so it can lookup the grant handle from the available information. Hashing by machine address should work reasonable fast. It's probably useful to have an in-kernel API for that which then can be used by both gntdev and the in-kernel backend drivers.
