I was expecting the git pull request to have a tags/ line in it. Like my requests to Linus: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git/ tags/driver-core-3.11-rc1 Maybe that's a newer git thing, what version are you using? Also, are you sure the tag is on the server when you do the git-request-pull command?
