Thats what happens with the pci card the usb dies then you have to unplug plug back in the mouse to get it to work. When it dies or stops working the light on the mouse stays on and the numlock light stays on the kyb, but both stop excepting input. You cant alt+tab, ctrl+alt+backspace, REISUB or even turn numlock off.
