I built the 3.2.19 kernel and 3.4.0 kernel on x86. And my VIA hub
works fine. I can't duplicate your issue. Maybe you can get a new
one or upgrade the FW.

According to your information, it seems like you tested it on
embedded platform.I am not sure my environment is the same
as your or what works fine on x86 definitely works fine on
embedded system. I will try it under other host controller.
