Hello Anil,

is this (http://www.linux-usb.org/USBMon/) the code you are talking about? I tried patching the 2.6.35.13 kernel with it but this didn't work. The code is only for kernel 2.4.1 and 2.4.4 . Should I download and compile one of these old kernels with the code patch?
Regards,
Gerhard

Hi Gerhard,
Use reply-to-all while replying next time. There is a firmware failure detected in the log that is why i asked. As sir, mentioned try using usbmon and posting the log i am not best at decoding usbmon ouput so be sure you use reply-to-all next time.

Anil Nair.

Hi Anil,
The notebook also has a touchpad (which is working flawlessly) in addition to the touchscreen. But this doesn't even come from the same vendor nor is it attached to the usb port.
