That's mostly right, but not quite.  The actual form is

	bus-port[.port...]:config.interface

For example, reading backward, 2-4.1.2:1.3 would refer to interface 3
of configuration 1 on the device attached to port 2 of the hub attached
to port 1 of the hub attached to port 4 on bus 2.
