Hi , Documentation/usb/error-codes.txt defines -ETIMEDOUT as follows : Synchronous USB message functions use this code to indicate timeout expired before the transfer completed, and no other error was reported by HC. This definition applies to Syncronous USB functions like usb_control_msg() . but how to indicate timeout or -ETIMEDOUT condition for usb requests submitted via asynchronous usb_submit_urb() call . if a usb driver submits urb via usb_submit_urb() call and wants to have some timeout for its completion ( say 5s and driver be notified with -ETIMEDOUT in urb completion callback after a interval of 5 seconds ) , is it possible with asynchronous urb submission calls ?
