Hi there! I'm running a VDR installation on an Asus EEE PC 701. This is what I get once (sometimes twice) a day: Feb 3 14:13:20 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 1223 from 33+33=27:0;36=@106:0:0 to 33+33=27:0;36=@106:0:0 Feb 3 14:13:40 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 119 from 255+255=27:0;259=deu@106:0:32 to 255+255=27:0;259=deu@106:0:32 Feb 3 14:13:40 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 118 from 511+511=27:0;515=deu@106:0:33 to 511+511=27:0;515=deu@106:0:33 Feb 3 14:13:40 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 120 from 767+767=27:0;771=deu@106:0:34 to 767+767=27:0;771=deu@106:0:34 Feb 3 14:13:40 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 117 from 1023+1023=27:0;1027=deu@106:0:35 to 1023+1023=27:0;1027=deu@106:0:35 Feb 3 14:14:03 localhost vdr: [14791] changing pids of channel 131 from 1535+1535=2:1536=deu@3:0:32 to 1535+1535=2:1536=deu@3,1537=eng@3:0:32 Feb 3 14:14:23 localhost vdr: [14791] read incomplete section - len = 93, r = 555 Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.634959] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: fatal error Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.634981] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: fatal command 0010020 (park)=0 ithresh=1 Async period=1024 HALT Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.634996] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: fatal status b019 Async Recl Halt FATAL FLR INT Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.635003] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: reset command 0010022 (park)=0 ithresh=1 Async period=1024 Reset HALT Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.635003] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: HC died; cleaning up Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.641933] hub 1-0:1.0: state 0 ports 8 chg 0000 evt 0000 Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.641948] usb 1-3: USB disconnect, device number 2 Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.641956] usb 1-3: unregistering device Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.641964] usb 1-3: unregistering interface 1-3:1.0 Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.750055] sd 5:0:0:0: [sdc] Unhandled error code Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.750068] sd 5:0:0:0: [sdc] Result: hostbyte=DID_ERROR driverbyte=DRIVER_OK Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.750084] sd 5:0:0:0: [sdc] CDB: Read(10): 28 00 00 53 58 f8 00 00 f0 00 Feb 3 14:14:32 localhost kernel: [232621.750115] end_request: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 5462264 The Netbook always runs with its power supply plugged in. Besides this error, the VDR runs fine. But it's not reliable. I have to reboot it daily. I also enabled "USB verbose debug messages" in the kernel but the messages above is all I got. The EEE PC has 3 USB connectors. It doesn't matter where I plug in the devices. I also tried new (better) USB cables. No change. Is there a way to find out why this happens?
