I was not unwilling to test upstream kernels,
just not interested in testing them before some
time passed and made that clear.

Eventually other unrelated bugs forced me
(with great reluctance) to 3.1.1, even with
the enclosure that works with the CentOS 6.0
kernel.  When Sarah requested a test with
3.2.0-rc2, was already mostly there so the
effort was small.

Generally I detest working on the bleeding
edge, though self-interest occasionally forces
me there.  It can consume insane amounts
of time and effort.
