I know this isn't the linux kernel list, but I tried building 2.6.39.2 with the instructions you have on your web site and everything went fine, but it won't boot. I successfully installed the latest Nvidia drivers as well, but when I select the item on Grub all I get is a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left corner. It's as if some drivers are not being loaded to finish the boot process. Are there any settings that I should use when doing make menuconfig to give me the same settings that are found in the downloadable binary version? I've never had a problem running those pre-built kernels.

thanks,

Steve
