There are numerous differences in detail between the two logs.  I can't
interpret them but maybe Daniel can.  However it does seem premature to
guess that the problem is related to the USB data toggle values.

If it helps, in the .15.zip file the ftdi device has address 7 whereas 
in the .16.zip file it has address 8.  Thus you can ignore all lines 
in the two files that don't match ':1:007:' or ':1:008:' respectively.
