I saw that for LS/FS devices, 750 was fine, but for HS devices, we need
< 1000.

That's very strange.  What change in 2.6.34 caused 750 microseconds to
be too short?  If it worked okay in 2.6.33 then I would expect it to
continue working in 2.6.34.
