Same behavior on earlier Fedora kernel 2.6.30.10... if I
1. Delete /lib/udev/rules.d/61-option-modem-modeswitch.rules
2. pass "option_zero_cd=2" to usb_storage
then usb_storage makes a lot more progress, eventually reaching the
endless media-change loop noted in the previous email.
udev's 61-option-modem-modeswitch.rules definitely seems to prevent
progress, here.
