The best approach will be for you to collect a usbmon trace showing 
what happens when some of those error messages appear and also what 
happens when you insert a card.  Instructions for usbmon are in the 
kernel source file Documentation/usb/usbmon.txt.

It's probably best to use your custom kernel so that you don't have to 
wait so long for the errors to occur.  Attach the usbmon trace to this 
bug report and reply to this email to let us know when it's ready.
