The linux kernel v6.1-rc3 still has the old v1 driver for devices RTL8152/RTL8153: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/drivers/net/usb/r8152.c?h=v6.1-rc3 This results in slow ethernet speeds (I had this problem and fixed this by updating the driver); see also: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205923 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213685 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103191 I fixed this issue (albeit on v5.15.0-52 on an ubuntu kernel) by updating the driver to the latest v2: https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/network-interface-controllers-10-100-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-usb-3-0-software The new driver is GPLv2. It would be great if this could be included in the linux kernel. -- From Albert Zhou
