Wireless USB and host association.

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

iogear.com makes a wireless USB hub called GUWH204. They call the host end a
wireless USB host adapter, except that it plugs into a regular USB host port.
To use the remote end, i.e. the hub, it must be first connected by cable to the
host in order to perform an operation they call "association".

Is the "association" operation something that's part of standard USB, or would
it be something they've invented? Does Linux have the ability to do it, or
would it be a special feature of their Windows driver?
