That worked flawlessly. ttyUSBs are created and accessible.

generic serial shouldn't be used for anything :)


So, back to square one: can we enable dynamic IDs, pleeeeze?

Should I write a one-liner? Or do you want to? Not that it requires a lot of wizardry :)


Have you submitted a patch for this device id to be added to the
next kernel release?


It's been in the table for a long time; that's why I had to take it out temporarily for testing the dynamic ID ...
