I have no idea what generated these lines. They could have come
from a user program; they aren't from usb-storage. They look
like an attempt to switch to modem mode, which apparently did not
succeed.
On my system (recently installed Mandriva 2009.1) I found an udev
rule running the (outdated) "rezero" tool from Option, which
obviously mixed things up completely. It's probably in other distros
too.
Concerning the ID conflict: I'll try and put together a patch for
option_ms.c to make it use the INQUIRY command to identify real
Option devices and leave others alone.
@Filip Aben:
Thanks for the information and the hint about INQUIRY!
Is it correct that all devices from Option with the ID 05c6:1000
return the vendor information "Option" if inquired?
