It passes "make distcheck" now, which will create the tarball to
distribute. The tarball, unlike the git repo, will include all the
generated autotools files for people just to run ./configure. The git
tar stuff should not be used to distribute a package.

I bumped the version to 0.80 for now, to make the NEWS file version
check happy. :)
